The joint theatre support group is under the sole authority of a base commander taking his orders directly from the theatre national support commander COMSOUTH if the operation is under national command, ADCONFRANCE if it is a combined operation. It is a stationary logistic echelon in charge of executing the theatre logistic support maneuver; it is the level where all the theatre resources are accounted for. This group includes a "transit" subgroup with the theater's entry and exit points, and a "storage facilities-support" sub-group where all the logistic domains store the national resources. It is deployed within a joint theater logistic base. This group is usually under the authority of a logistic brigade commander. (FRA)
