As an element of the headquarters support function, headquarters logistic support comprises all activities corresponding to the definition of logistic support, with the exception of administrative and financial support, which remains a responsibility of a 1st category detachment. A headquarters unit is not necessarily such a 1st category detachment for instance: HQ platoon of a combined arms Brigade: - operational forwarding and movements; - aid to deployment; - stationing support, - manpower support including medical support; - maintenance; - supply.
