Subject: Any advance on туши свет? I've asked before, but can anyone help..тушить свет I think it means "you can forget it (altogether)" - meaning all hope is lost, there is no chance. Context, If someone is spoilt as a child and successful as an adult then (regarding their morality) туши свет! Thanks |

All hope is lost = Сливай воду ИМХО у выражения "туши свет" другое значение. Туши свет говорят, когда ожидается нечто из ряда вон выходящее. Типа: Beware! Be prepared for going all out |
