Аскер, слушайте Susan79. Она знает, что советует. iliana, здесь не нужно продолженное время. |
Alexander O., - согласна со всеми пунктами))) я тоже колебалась между Past Perf и Pas Perf cont. |
Alexander Oshis, почтенный сударь, спешу вас разочаровать, что есть понятие "клише" и оно порою идет вразрез грамматическим нормам и прочим. А уж "have been" в несокращенной форме для делового языка вообще - "деревенским университетом" отдает/ Not to insist but to clarify, my dear. |

skralex We do not perform requests, but make them. |
Cher Susan79, you`re absolutely rite, if you live (=communicate) "by the book". But in world of business correspondence the verb `perform` means any activity which has a record in a database... Yes, they use `perform a request for additional RM` whether its true or not, but business and management speaks that phrase. Though, each can B wrong, I could imagine I AM now. |
Business-ese/Corporate-ese should be avoided. We want to be on the side of clarity. |
if clarity stands for core value here, my example is poor to say nothing it has wrong spelling in word `requests` in case user sheinamarina requires to get effect out of that communication, she needs that phrase be deprived of clarity but B stuffed with "Business-ese/Corporate-ese" - Bcause this is the only way to be percepted as a decent and mature speaker i swear. odd managerial language has higher efficiency level than the pure one. |
Bcause this is the only way to be percepted as a decent and mature speaker --- skralex, you have lost your mind, surely. |

skralex, отвечай, приятель ))) |
skralex жжот =)) |
I ain`t lost my mind, pals, it`s been on rent for years so far, thus U may discover certain effect. I use language to get what I need from the other side - it gains more than using language accordingly to Grammar Rules`n`staff. I`d say I`m wrong if clarity of my phrases is the target. But! Clarity does not serve for Transparency for ever, you struggle for clearest in grammar`n`staff phrases and U find yourself being misunderstood if your opponent has simply another teacher of English Grammar than yours. LANGUAGE is to shift barriers NOT to bring them! |

another teacher...=> different teacher? |
skralex Hahaah! (and I don't mean that kindly.) "I use language to get what I need from the other side ..." - What are you, a Kirby Salesman? "LANGUAGE is to shift barriers NOT to bring them!" - By ignoring clarity and good form (and intelligent speech), you create more barriers than you disslove. |
Susan, Kirby Salesman -LOL!!!! hahaha |
Cher Susan79, I do regret to make you react with negative emotion. I don`t accept job offers from companies with monthly sales less than 100 MMRUR. I don`t sell, I`m doing BD for Import Affairs and trust me clarity may be a good form but it is not always the best one! intelligent speech has nothing in common with highest score of responsiveness! But I don`t reject the NEED of your idols (clarity, intelligent speech, grammar rules) - you need those when you start to learn English (I mean first 10-15 yrs. of doing it)/ / Dears Supa Traslata,Alexander Oshis, I`m not saying I AM the rite speaker. I`m just sure I deliver results of my everyday and core mtg.s` speach, is it clear, pals? |
"you need those when you start to learn English (I mean first 10-15 yrs. of doing it)/" - Bahaha! So what, native speakers can throw it all out the window and let the likes of you insult what is dear to us? |
rite speach OMG. |

But I don`t reject the NEED of your idols (clarity, intelligent speech, grammar rules) - you need those when you start to learn English There, Susan. You still have a lot to learn. Skralex, не желая оскорбить Вашего самурайского духа и попасть на меч, просто на всякий случай: Susan это женское имя, поэтому грамматически правильно писать "сhere". При этом Вы с Susan не знакомы, поэтому правильно будет обойтись вообще без панибратства. |

"But I don`t reject the NEED of your idols (clarity, intelligent speech, grammar rules) - you need those when you start to learn English (I mean first 10-15 yrs. of doing it)" Автор, жжете. Пишите исче! P.S. Страшно не люблю оффы в темах, а нападки на людей еще больше, но удержаться было невозможно. |
Chere Susan79, I met native speakers (18yrs.and greater) who asked me how to spell the english word wrap in a phrase "bubble-wrap packaging", cause they`ve only heard it and ain`t got any idea that `wrap` and `rap` are different words. USA, the year when the twins got screwed. And again, accept my deep apologises that I`ve "insult what is dear for you". Had zero intent to do. . Все обоснованные и веские "нападки" и критику приму к сведению. |
skralex So we have moved onto to telling fairly tales, have we? Look, you are on a Translators' forum. If you want to be uneducated, do it somewhere where it doesn't matter. But here, people need accuracy and clarity. And I can assure you, clarity and truly educated manners (both written and oral) will get you much further than any business-ese jargon will. Parrots can repeat what they hear, but that does not mean they make any sense or are in any way sophisticated. OandO |
Dear Susan79, my story is true.it`s your choice to disbelieve it. And, Susan79, you need to study more about jargonism, terminologism and clichees - these all are different phenomenas, please don`t get offended and even furious - you really need a bit another approach to language - more open-minded and out-of-box thinking will give you a chance to make next step in learning foreign language. |

lolz |
AO Oh this one is no bother. Just another fly on the windshield of life. Really, thanks for playing defense for me, but you don't need to. This one is so harmless (and out of its mind) I am sure it won't bother me or anyone else. :) |

skralex, не сдавайся, приятель! |
Supa Traslata You had so much fun reading this yesterday, you decided to put it back on the first page? Expecting a slow day at work? :) |
c`mon pals, first working tuesday 09 gonna be hectic, though I`m to try to keep this updated. dudes, I still can`t get why you have no idea about business english specific - the one I`m pushing on - and trying to put it as my own mind-absence? Most of you used to see Sun and Moon but there`re much more planets in the Univers.) Translator is the one who can feel the language, not the one who uses it following all the rules with no exceptions ever. |
Здравствуйте. Интересная дискуссия тут разгорелась. Объясните, пожалуйста, что означают слова "сhere, сher"? И слово percepted существует ли в английском языке? |
skralex The Sun is a star, not a planet, and the Moon is a satellite, not a planet. |
skralex Re: Translator is the one who can feel the language Ты всерьез не чувствуешь разницу между выражениями "обращаться с просьбами" и "выполнять просьбы" или прикалываешься? |
Rudut If Skralex can't tell the diffrence between a star, a satellite and a planet, I am sure he/she really can't see the difference between "обращаться с просьбами" and "выполнять просьбы". :) |
Dear Susan, you`re too contentious
hopeless... |
Рудут, ну понятно, вы один из многих, кому невыносимо признавать собственную неправоту. Или вы всерьез не чувствуете разницу между "обращаться с просьбами" и "исполнять запрос" ? |
Rudut absolutely |
|
