Положення підрозділу, що знаходиться під прямим вогнем противника. 1. Вступ у контакт: дія, що полягає для головних підрозділів у відкритті вогню по противнику або просочування у його бойові порядки для розвідки, утримання, і якщо необхідно - захоплення ключових точок при виконанні операцій. 2. Уточнення контакту: визначення пунктів й зон, де противник протистоїть діям, що ведуться проти нього, а також ідентифікація розривів у його бойових порядках. 3. Втрата контакту: відсутність зорового контакту з противником, зникнення противника або, у випадку виявлення противника, відсутність можливості уввійти з ним в контакт. 4.
