license and registration ("License and Registration Please" The cops in TV shows always say this. Thing is, I have no idea what they want. I mean, I know they want to see my driver's license. But what the fuck is a 'registration'? Your car registration is the piece of paper that your state issues to show that you have paid your automobile taxes and smog certificate fee. Some states call these taxes different names (excise tax, registratin fee, etc).
