The range of electromagnetic radiation groups: electrical waves, Hertzian waves, infrared rays, visible light, ultraviolet rays, X-rays, gamma rays and cosmic rays. Hertzian waves are those waves used for telecommunications. They group the waves used by radio/sound equipment, electro-magnetic waves and satellites. Transmissions through fiber optic use the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
