Дело деликатное и одним неудачным словом можно очень навредить. Ваш перевод не годится. Поищите в Гуглах, введя deep sympathy. Переделайте готовую фразу, например: We would like to express our heartfelt condolence and deep sympathies of sadness to you and your esteemed family on the sad tragedy of the.... |

You CANNOT say "sympathies of sadness", or "on the sad tragedy of...", FOR CHRISSAKES, PLEEEEEEEASE! The term "esteemed" has been out of use since the 18th century, and was revived by В.М.Суходрев only under pressure from А.А.Громыко to translate the ugly Russian "Уважаемый господин Председатель Генеральной Ассамблеи". |
